Jacqueline D. Price – Author
Jacqueline is an elementary school librarian in Calgary, Alberta. She is also a published freelance writer, and an editor and proofreader. Jacqueline obtained her honours degree in Geography from the University of London, England and her master’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Calgary, Alberta. She has two grown sons who both live in Alberta. Jacqueline currently resides in Calgary with her husband and her two tabby cats, Tiger and Pepper.
Apart from a sequel to Little Grain’s Big Adventure being in the works, Jacqueline has three completed picture book manuscripts. Pepper’s Purrfect Christmas is the story of a black cat moving from the countryside to the big city. Jason’s Journey is the story of a boy who travels around the world and learns about giving. Naughtie Nellie is the story of a precocious pre-school girl. A middle grade historical fiction chapter book is also in the early stages and is based in rural Alberta in the 1950s.
Evan Anderson – Illustrator
Evan Anderson lives in Calgary, Alberta and is in 7th grade.
Little Grain’s Big Adventure is his first project illustrating a book but he often sketches in his spare time.
He loves playing guitar and lacrosse along with fishing, mountain biking and skiing with his family.
Evan visited Maui at the time he was illustrating the story and was inspired by actual places, including Napili Bay.
